We have been keeping safe some of Tom’s and Keely’s ashes, but somehow there has never been a day when we could face the final part of their journey together. Today, is World Pet Memorial Day so, if not today?……..
A few weeks ago, a birch tree was planted in Tom’s honour at Keely’s Place between Keely’s weeping willow and Flora’s tree. Although small now it will soon grow tall and strong.
Today a small procession of MIL, Chloe and Janie solemnly made their way to Keely’s Place and quietly scattered the ashes at the base of the tree. This area of the meadow will henceforth be known as #KeelyandTom’sPlace and a plaque noting the change of name has been hung from Flora’s tree.
